P. J. Hoover is just finishing up a publisher-sponsored school visit tour for the Austin, Round Rock, Pflugerville, and Hutto areas to celebrate the paperback release of THE EMERALD TABLET. It's been a crazy whirlwind time filled with amazing kids, teachers, and librarians! Also, a special thank you to The Book Spot in Round Rock, Texas for helping with setting up the visits and for selling books. If you've never checked out The Book Spot, summer is the perfect time to support your local indie bookstore! ![]()

AUTHOR VISITS & AWARDS!
Jeanette Larson had an enjoyable visit with a group of birders and writers at the Bryan (TX) Public Library. If your library or organization needs a speaker for an adult program, consider a program on hummingbirds!
Hummingbirds: Facts and Folklore from the Americas was named an Editor's Choice for 2012 by Library Media Connections.
Putting on her "big girl" hat, Jeanette
will moderate a panel, "Snappy Patter and Dangerous Ladies," at The
Book Spot in Round Rock (TX) on Saturday, May 26 at 2:00 p.m. The panel
will feature mystery writers' Susan Rogers Cooper, Jan Grape, Joan
Hess and Karen MacInerney.
Jeanette will be the featured author at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center for their Hummingbirds Nature Night on Thursday, June 28. From 6-9 p.m. admission to the center is free and families can enjoy crafts, walks, and talks.
